Garfield has been in foreclosure for the same missed payment for 12 years, even though the statute of limitations on foreclosure cases in New York is six years from the date of delinquency. He urges Gov. Kathy Hochul to sign the Foreclosure Abuse Prevention Act (FAPA) to bring relief to homeowners like himself who have been fighting foreclosure for several years.
